UNIT 8 -  RESUME & PORTFOLIO

The first requirement for applying for any job or admission to a College advanced degree is submitting a resume of your experience and achievements and a portfolio of your work which highlights your best work and shows what you are capable of producing. Since you will be 'competing' for jobs and admission into departments of Architecture on your way to a degree, you will need to display your best work representing an array of skills.

ASSIGNMENT 1 - RESUME

Create a resume that highlights your achievements as a students at Edmonds Woodway HS. This should be formatted in chronological order from latest to most recent. This should include your GPA, classes taken that relate to your field of study. (see Schedule Planning Unit). Include any clubs and activities that you've participated in, both at school and outside of school. Also Include any work and volunteer experience you've had along with contact information of the employer or supervisor and the role or responsibilities that you had. Lastly, include professional and teacher references that will give you a positive recommendation Avoid including experiences that were not positive and that may result in a negative recommendation.

ASSIGNMENT 2 - PORTFOLIO

Create a digital and physical portfolio that includes a variety of your work in architecture and anything related to art and construction.  This should be formatted in chronological order from latest to most recent. If there is any past work that needs to be updated or finished, you'll need to correct and finish them before including them in your portfolio. Do not include any work that is incomplete or inaccurate.
Take pictures of any models you have built and other projects you have done in and out of school.
