UNIT 11 - ORAL & GRAPHIC PRESENTATION

Once you have designed your plans and elevations, and sections as needed to convey your design and have reached the point where it can be presented to your client, Presentation Drawings are created and rendered to illustrate the major intent of your design proposal of your project.
Presentations could be considered the most important phase of the design process as it is the quality and clarity of your unique presentation that may or may not land you the contract for the project or sell your idea to a client or developer, which could result in not receiving thousands in potential income, the references and exposure that comes with your designed project being selected or accepted, and built.
It is crucial that your presentation illustrate and describe the essence of the project in a simple graphic form. In addition to the importance of a graphic or visual presentation of some type, is the importance to present your project in a clear, intentional, brief, descriptive oral format. In some cases,

ASSIGNMENT 1- DRAFT PLANS, ELEVATIONS & SECTION

Just as you did 1st Semester, draft your floor plans, elevations and a building section where designated by your instructor.   Since these drawings will be used for presentation and not for construction, you do not need to add dimensions or notes to the drawings other than labeling each room or space or numbering them and providing a key on the graphic presentation. You will add a bar scale and human figures to your final presentation that will serve as an indicator of sizes and a reference to human scale.
